Kohinoor Floors started in 1976 as a small natural-stone yard in Kochi, supplying neighbourhood builders for staircase and counter work. Half a century on, three generations of the founding family, two yards in Maradu, our own block-processing unit, an Italian CNC fabrication line, around 120 000 sqft of running stock, three site crews on payroll, and long-term partnerships with most of Kochi's residential, hospitality and institutional projects.

Most homeowners and builders we meet have already collected three or four quotes by the time they walk in. Our role is usually to help them read those quotes properly, understand what each material actually costs over a decade, and pick what suits the room rather than what fits the showroom story.
The way we work tends to suit construction-side teams: predictable trade pricing, scheduled dispatch around your programme, signed delivery notes, GST-clean invoicing and a single named contact per project. Walk-in homeowners are equally welcome, though we'll usually steer the conversation toward what works for your specific budget and household rather than what's on a margin promo that week.
That approach has built, over five decades, long-term relationships with builders, architects, hospitals, hotels and homeowners across Kerala. The same instinct led us to launch Living Stone (stone.living) as our sister atelier for premium and design-led residential, two brands, one group, complementary scopes.

- 1976
Founded
First yard opened in Kochi by the founding generation, supplying neighbourhood masonry and natural stone to local builders.
- 1985
Granite specialisation
Shift from general masonry to specialised granite supply, with the first slab-cutting capability brought in-house.
- 1995
Own block-processing unit
Block-processing facility commissioned; raw granite blocks now sized and prepared for slab production on our own line.
- 1998
Maradu yards established
Move to the present Kundannoor yard on Old NH-17, with the fabrication unit opened soon after for fabrication and overflow stock.
- 2004
Marble division
Direct import of Italian and Indian marble launched; matched-lot reservation programme rolled out for architect-led projects.
- 2010
Italian CNC workshop
Fabrication line upgraded with state-of-the-art Italian bridge-saw, edge-polishing and CNC machinery.
- 2018
5-axis CNC + complex profiles
5-axis CNC stone shaper added to the line; complex profile, balustrade and façade work for hotel and institutional clients.
- 2022
Trade-account formalised
Quantity-banded discount programme and dedicated account-manager model rolled out for builders, contractors, PMC.

10 000+ projects, millions of sqft
Half a century in, Kohinoor Floors has supplied over 10 000 projects across Kerala, millions of square feet of stone and tile in homes, hotels, hospitals, airports and metro stations from Kasaragod to Trivandrum.
